Hip and Knee Injuries

Hip and Knee Injuries

Hip-related injuries are reported in approximately 25% of elite athletes, particularly in the hip region. These injuries result in compression and groin pain due to the asymmetrical growth of groin muscles. In female elite athletes, there is a higher occurrence of hip bone spurs (osteophytes) in comparison to runners.

In a study conducted, anterior cruciate ligament injuries, patellofemoral joint pain, and patellar tendinitis, known as jumper’s knee, are commonly seen knee problems among tennis players.
